Whenever I feel like I’m failing at life…

, Whenever I feel like I’m failing at life…

As a musician and (admittedly quite eccentric) human, I naturally live the life of most hopeless creatives; fumbling around London trying very hard not to be a poetically lost soul, but instead a competent, productive, useful citizen. But when I inevitably fail, this is what I now watch to feel better, and to remember that we all (I hope) can identify with this, or Miranda wouldn’t be such an utterly adored and loveable character:

New week, new you! Nah… ?

When you vow to become a new woman:

‘I’m going to be the kind of woman who leaps out of bed in the morning, who grabs a home-made muffin out of their Cath Kidson polkadot biscuit tin and heads to work, wearing trainers at the bottom of their skirt suit to show off that they’ve power walked in. They have pot plants that don’t die on them. Their fruit bowl isn’t full of three-week-old rotting pears because they actually eat the fruit.

They have day bags, evening bags, and a clutch. They just grab a wheatgerm smoothie in between work because that’s enough to keep them going, even though they jogged at lunch, and enjoyed it
Because they don’t have flesh that moves independently to their main frame.. You know. That kind of woman.’

This is everything I feel about perfectionism and the pitfalls of comparing yourself with other people. Please never change, Miranda.
